I used to try doing this every night. I fell asleep quite often. I'm not saying I don't believe in it though, I've had some strange experiences with occult stuff like astral projection. My dad was really into that stuff. Instead I use meditation just to calm myself mostly. I'm not sure I buy into the religious aspects of the one I practice, so I'm investigating more bit by bit.
