With Youtube's new content ID system labeling any video game videos as copyright violations, Polaris seems to have decided to drop a bunch of its partnering channels.
R.I.P. partnership with:
JonTron
The Angry Video Game Nerd
AngryJoeShow
Markiplier
Smooth mcGroove
VideoGameDunkey
BajanCanadian
Peanut Butter Gamer
CinnamonToastKen
..and many more
I'm happy because some of the people don't deserve money for what they do, I'm sad because Pewdiepie wasn't one of the people dropped (probably because his videos generate at least one millions dollars yearly). It's also disheartening to see people like Jontron and AVGN dropped when they've always been quality and spend time and effort.
Not #Gaming because it is offtopic discussion regarding Youtube
Edited by lonepaul2441: 12/22/2013 1:52:13 AMHow does Angry Joe earn more than my dad??? My dad risks his life being an electrician and that guy makes 4x as much for 1 video every 2 weeks? Bloody hell. Why it sucks some of those guys lost their partnership I couldn't care less, they can still make video's like they used to, they are just no longer protected by stray copyright strikes.
