The Halo 2-3 design has been retconned. As far as the lore is concerned, it always looked like that. Like it or not, that's how it is. To be fair, the new version looks like it would be a lot more practical.

Retconned like everything else in Halo 4 because 343 can't keep any consistency who have some sort of hatred against anything Bungie made? Yeah.

They could have easily still had that entire sequence in Halo 4 without having to completely overhaul the ship, Hell they even showed the same Halo 3 design of the ship in the Halo 4 Teaser. The new design is just a giant middle finger to Bungie and Halo 3.

[/quote] Well considering 343 likes to butcher what was already established in previous games, and make the new trilogy only accessible to people who've read the books. It's no wonder a lot of casual Halo fans and people who only play it for the Multiplayer Competitiveness has decried 343 and the new trilogy when only the first one is out.
