Why people read pretentious stuff like that? Is it so they can act all smart around other people? It's not even a good book.

The point is, regardless of whether the book is good itself, it's a good [i]concept,[/i] and that is why people like it. That's actually a separate point, but that's also besides the point. I have no idea what the real point is.
