Most of your fans are on Mac, Bungie. We've been loyal to you for ages and will continue to do so. But it leaves a bad taste in our mouths when you keep on praising Microsoft and pretending the Mac doesn't exist. I am really happy that Microsoft fans can enjoy a Bungie game, it will draw us closer together, but there is a rift being created when you keep adding bonuses to their side and not to the side that has your bigger fans. I know this sounds like a jealous thing but there's more to it. I don't mind that the Xbox gets Halo early. I don't mind that they get exclusive content. What bothers me is that Mac gets nothing at all? Something's wrong with that picture and I hope that you can see it.

Bungie transitioning from Mac to Xbox is a complete shift in delivery device. They didn't defect to windows-based PC, they abandoned computers nearly entirely and moved to consoles (yes, I remember halo eventually made it to PC). More so, the move to consoles was Bungie's "coming of age" so to speak. They had a fanbase on Mac, no doubt, but not even remotely comparable to the success it found on consoles. Mac gave them footing, but Xbox shot them to the stars. But all that aside.. Abandoning fans is wrong regardless of who it is. Mac users were right to be upset. And now xbox users are right as well. Though admittedly, Mac got the shorter end of the stick than the rest of us Xbox users, it still doesn't mean anyone should feel less upset about it all. Well.. some people should calm the hell down. But I digress.

It's a company's choice where it chooses to go. If a company wishes to move entirely to a new platform, that's its call. If it wishes to give exclusive content to another, that's its call. Bayonetta 2 is exclusively on WiiU. I don't like that, but I'm not going to whine like an entitled little brat about it. It reflects badly on the fan and badly on the developer. If Half-Life 3, by some stroke of bizarre decision-making, were an Ouya exclusive, I'd be perplexed, but that's Valve's call. If it were factually a bad choice, I'd be more vocal, I expect. But these kids are just complaining because they're not Bungie's favourite child anymore.

I'm not arguing that point. Of course it's up to the company. And of course, as usual, some people are choosing to handle their frustration in an unproductive manner. But I don't feel the frustration is unwarranted. And I don't feel that expressing frustration is unproductive if handled maturely. Voices influence practices.
