Halo Waypoint Community Letter to 343i
Hello Everyone, The community have created a document which we believe is critical for the next Halo. There were lots of people involved and took weeks, but after several reviews we finally have the final version for everyone to see. This document was sent to over 50 employees at 343i, anyone from a coder to Bonnie Ross the general manager, and will also arrive at the physical building at 343i. We encourage a good discussion about the document and PLEASE, I can't stress this enough, PLEASE make an effort to read the entire document. That way we do not go over things that have already been discussed. If you have any additional questions, comments or concerns we would love to hear and will do our best clear anything up. We would love to get additional support and trying is better than not. Cheers! Go ahead and click that Favorite button please, it won't bite :)
Halo Waypoint Thread ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- My own thoughts: While very thorough and well written, I am dismayed by the fact that the sources for why the community prefers "this" over "that" is specifically from Waypoint itself, leading to very biased polls. A lot of the ideas are not bad, but they deserve to return as toggle options, not absolutes. Anyway, maybe this will also show the Bungie Community that the Vocal Majority does not like 343i's choices or even them themselves at Waypoint.

 • Meh. I won't buy another Halo even if... well, for any reason. Halo ended at 3 for me. ODST and Reach are great for what they are (a side story to compliment the main story, and a prequel), but the MC needs to simply be left floating in space. It's the perfect ending for the perfect warrior. There doesn't need to be "closure", simply the implications of "Wake me, when you need me." is enough to know that the Chief will be ready whenever humanity needs him again. We definitely didn't need the emotional trainwreck that 3fail3 has made him out to be. "But we're exploring his human side!!!!!!" Bullshit. The Spartans were created to be cold, unflinching killers. That's why they could accomplish more than even whole platoons of regular Marines, because they're unfeeling super-soldiers. I don't need the Chief to grow a vagina and start blubbering as Cortana dies. I don't need the Chief to have an emotional breakdown, and I sure as hell don't need him becoming a chatty cathy simply because he woke up from a nap. 3fail3 and this "new trilogy" should have never been conceived.
