Says keep religion out of it. Well the religious people are the only ones really against it so who are you addressing? OT: there isn't really anything wrong with it. It's just some, including myself, have a problem with the lifestyle choices. I can't talk about why though. :/ Yes it involves religion.
im still learning about the subject though and I'm interested on finding more answers.
• It isn't a choice, dude. That's the first thing you need an answer on.

 • I didn't say being gay was a choice ~,~`. I said
lifestyle choice
Just how you choose to live your life. I could stay single for the rest of my life or get married for example.

 • So you believe that gay people should just live a celibate life instead of finding someone they love? Why?

 • That's a very shallow "Disney-like" definition of the word huh? To see love as emotions, which change in the blink of an eye. Love should be thought of as the ability to lay down your life for someone. In that case this is how anyone should love someone they care about. If you can't do that then you don't really love them. You already know I'm a Catholic right? Well I'm going to break OPs rule for a bit. What I've gathered so far is that we are supposed to be chaste. We are supposed to love each other on a deeper level than on just strictly a physical side. I'm sure you're thinking "ha! Lol chastity. What a fail. So old school" I've just felt like there's got to be more to love than having sex or getting physical with someone. Anyway to answer your question, everyone needs to love someone or you can't grow as a person. I don't see why this would be different between gay people or straight people. This just depends on what you believe love is.

 • Gay love is no different than straight love. It truly isn't. You said that the "gay lifestyle" is wrong, but then you say that everyone can feel love. How can it be wrong when all they are doing is feeling and sharing their love in the exact same way that straight people do?

The thing is though is that everyone is supposed to be have a chaste love. Even straight people. That basically means expressing your sexuality in a non sexual way. Also in Catholicism at least, marriage has always been between a man and a woman. I believe it's possible to love people in a non relationship way, straight or gay. Honestly straight people these days don't even express and share their love properly either. Love is all about affection and sex these days. :/ In other words its just being selfish, taking and feeling as good as possible. The reason I understand the gay lifestyle to be wrong is because it's based off another lifestyle which I don't agree with either.

 • I strongly disagree with your view that relationships shouldn't involve sex. Sex is natural, sex is health, and sex is a great way to share the most intimate bond with the one that you love. Making each other feel that good is an incredible way to show that two people love each other. Sure, some sex is casual and done only for lust, but having sex with the person that you love isn't wrong in any way, gay or straight. Love today is much more real than it was 50 years ago. Today, young people, for the most part, marry who they actually love. Years ago, marriages were much more often for economic reasons, or political reasons. Now, people love and marry whom they wish, regardless of their parents' opinion on the matter. In this sense, love is more real now than it ever was.
