Destiny is a rip off.
At least Halo was [i]original[/i]. Destiny is literally just a combination of every single big name game out there right now. It literally Elder scrolls: Halo black ops shadow fall start of the wolfenstein and every game I havnt mentioned.
But in all seriousness, it really is just a mix of everything already out there and that's a huge disappointment.

Game mechanics are game mechanics. You have a controller with some buttons. The best you can do in this category is create something that is fluid and not frustrating. Take the best of what's out there and refine it. Now the story, the adventure that you're going to experience is unreal. That's original. That's why we play games, to get lost in an epic saga. To become legend. Bungie and all the hard working people there are pouring their lives and passion into this game. They are tirelessly creating something you've never experienced before. In its scope and scale. They way you interact with it and how it's being presented. Truly next-gen and then some. At the end of the day people are going to love it or hate but to formulate a spiteful attitude before experiencing Destiny hands on is poor gesture to the people who created it.

2 RepliesYes because people only play CoD and elder scrolls sky rim right? Destiny is original btw, it's just taking the big companies, activision and bungie, 2 big game producers/ makers. Destiny is a FPS MMO-ish RPG-ish game. With those elements of course it's going to look like a rip off because those are like the biggest game genres out there... Please think about it before posting.

For someone who has had Destiny preordered since the day it was available for preorder I can speak nothing but the truth. They are taking gun looks from halo. (Considering they made halo) with the aspect of Guild Wars 2 of an ever changing world. To take an idea that was amazing for Guild Wars 2 and take it to the next level in a FPS is outstanding. You can troll all you want about a game that is again taking IDEAS from other games and meshing them together to create something completely unique. Bungie is not making Destiny to be like every other FPS. Which in my opinion are all the same. Destiny is bringing a twist to all genres. MMORPG's, FPS, Action, Adventure. So don't knock down a game that is not up to standards with you. And on that note, I can almost guaranteed if you are on the Destiny forums you are going to be in the Beta and have the game Preordered. So don't say a game is going to be a let down if you already have aspirations to play it. Good day sir. DivineAlchemy.
