Look. He said creeping is not okay. Could he have done that better, and put a bit more thought into it? Yeah, he could have. But look at all of the Comic Cons adding this into their rules to protect, for the most part, their female cosplayers. If a lady is creeped on, people are encouraged to get the dude off their back. If he doesn't back off, he's kicked out. Does this rule apply solely to women? If a guy complains that someone is creeping on him, is he ignored? No. He's helped in the same way as everyone else. That's called common decency. The problem he's addressing is that not everybody has common decency. And even those who do may not have it all the time. Even the best of us can do something stupid from time to time and not think twice. Throw anonymity into the bag, and you're probably going to have a bad time sooner rather than later. But the more awareness you throw out there, the better the chances of bad stuff not happening. That's what this guy is promoting. I think this is a good thread. Now, I'm not claiming that this thread is the shining paragon of all things good on the internet. It's not, by a LONG shot. In fact, it doesn't even come close. But it's a step in the right direction. And what's wrong with taking a step or two before you really get into your stride?
