And so did mine. When you get the situation of a chick creeping on a guy then you come call me ok.

I never said that was okay, I am saying that gamers should treat each other fairly regardless of gender or race. Guys shouldn't need to change how they talk to girls and girls shouldn't need to change how they talk to guys.

It's like talking to a brick wall. Ok let me dumb this down. Some guys like to hit on female gamers and creep them out. This is not ok. You will very, VERY rarely see the opposite of this take place.

Edited by Spartan Ken 15: 10/18/2013 11:45:14 PMI understand, but you don't need to tell me to do that, I DON'T creep on girls online and frankly I find it insulting you are accusing "men" in general of being creeps because of the actions of a few (I am a male gamer). You are reinforcing a stereotype that men are constantly after women and it is supposed to be our job to "defend women online" which also insults and objectifies them. Treat everyone with respect.

Then if you don't creep on women then I'm CLEARLY not talking you YOU. I accuse men because men are the main ones doing the creeping. You can't deny this. Dude, Im a dude as well and I know that guys creep because I have online friends that do it. I have yet to run into a female creeper.

Edited by Spartan Ken 15: 10/18/2013 11:58:43 PM
I accuse men because men are the main ones doing the creeping.
You can blame men in general "creeping" and you also shouldn't tell men to all act differently around other gamers because they are a different sex. Just treat EVERYONE fairly regardless of race or gender. Don't blame men or anyone else as a whole as the main problem for something that a few people do. You entire thread reeks of the assumption that male gamers are dangerous and ravenous to female gamers which is simply not true (about all male or all female gamers) and you only reinforce stereotypes about male and female gamers.

Yes In this situation I can. If this does not apply to you then you ignore it an move on, but in this situation you can focus on one gender and say that they are more likely do be doing the creeping. This is not about race or treating everyone fairly, you're trying to be MR. PC and that's not going to work in this situation. I can make the same dirty sex joke that I say in a group of guys with a group of girls. That's not right. But you are saying that it's ok to make that same dirty sex joke because I must treat everyone with respect. You must be a creeper because only a creeper could defend creepers like you are doing right now.

Edited by Spartan Ken 15: 10/19/2013 12:09:05 AMDon't you think women are just as capable defending and taking care of themselves as men? Why are you saying men have to go out of their way to protect and act differently towards women online? You could just act and talk normally to both men and women, at the same time. There is no reason to treat others differently because they are different than you or me. You are treating women as victims who need to be protected and saved when in reality people could just act normally.

How. If this was real life then sure they could defend themselves but are you can clearly see (or not at this point I losings all hope in you) that I am talking about a video game setting, How do you stop someone from messaging you, or following you. They could just turn off the game but that might turn the girl off to all multiplayer gaming setting and that's not what we want. I'm saying all these things because some guys like to creep on female gamers, but according to you that never happens, because in your crazy little world everyone is respectful of one another and no one says anything bad at all. Kid, this is how the world works, not everyone is a good person, not everyone respect one another, and not everyone thinks that creeping on female gamers is wrong.

Wait so women are perfectly capable of defending themselves from sexual harassment in real life but not in video games where you take away the physical properties of strength and the potential for bodily harm? So that only leaves mental capability in the equation, so in your post your are the one being sexist through the shear fact that you are arguing that women can't defend themselves in video games where the only element is mental. Their for through your comments you are inadvertently arguing that women are mentally weaker where as everyone who is arguing that they should be treated as equals is recognizing the fact that they are mental equals.
