How do sin(x) and cos(x) work?

When I enter cos(45) into a calculator, what calculations are being made? And don't say 1/sec(x) or equivalent trig. identities.

  • Cos stands for cosine and sin stands for sine (I think) also there's tan for tangent the funny thing is I have a maths homework on this haha your getting taught by a student (if your out of school that is) I don't know how to explain it though and suggest you look online
