Why a private beta?
Why would Bungie release a private beta only accessible by pre-order? Is this simply a money-grubbing move? Why not invite the whole wide world to try this new genre and break it?

of course it is... Why else put it in there. They want inflated numbers before release date is set. Plus I am guessing they will assume people who WANT to play to the game will jump at the early opportunity to dig in and test the games/systems. The more eyes the better, but with a few more hard core fans might help find little nicks they missed before. Just a thought. Plus MONEY REIGNS SUPREME
