California Raises Minimum Wage

(I'm not sure if this is a completely accurate or un-biased source, just putting that out there)
I'm not trying to start a political flamewar, but it's big news here in CA. I personally think it's a turn for the better.
Thoughts?

No point on laying off. How many companies can keep running on bare bones staff and still cut jobs. If walmart does it well looks like walmart will have more thieves. Also more work byvless hands so less work gets done. Trust me the companies cannotbcut jobs if they were already on bare bone workforce.
