Completely serious. What if they developed an incubator for human fetuses? It would solve so many problems related to pregnancies and just generally make things easier. The doctors would be able watch the fetus develop so it would be less likely to have complications. Moms wouldn't have to deal with giving birth (well they would but I guess it wouldn't be as bad) so they don't have to go through that pain and also there wouldn't really be any chance of them dying from it. They wouldn't have to carry a baby around in them for nine months, which would be nice. Abortions would happen a lot less often. There were a few more ways it would be helpful but I forgot them. :l Anyways, I assume you would just take the fetus out as soon as it was big enough to take out (whenever that is) and immediately hook it up to the incubator thing and let it develop. It seems like a good idea to me.
But there's probably some reason why its not possible that I'm missing, like there wouldn't be any way to get the baby out without it instadying or something.
EDIT: Just to clarify, I'm talking about for very early in the pregnancy, and for them to be widespread, not just for special cases (preemies)
EDIT 2: I have been informed that I'm actually talking about an artificial womb, not an incubator.
