If I believe it to be true, than it works, therefore according to my own unique perspective it is true. If I believe it to be a lie, it will not work, therefore according to my own perception it is a lie.

Anyone who takes your advice and asserts a deity is doing so not out of a regard for what actually is the case, but out of a happiness-gamble. This is fundamentally dishonest. You could say that one should also avoid searching for / examining dishonesty, as this can make you sadder. Or advocate doublethink.
