It's because Christianity is amoral, irrational, and cowardly, and fosters those traits in its practitioners.

lol so edgy

Nah, just tru7h, man. Edgy would be like "Christians are all subhumans," or "This is why we need another Holocaust," etc.

So "love thy neighbor as thyself" is immoral?

Edited by Aporia: 8/14/2013 10:20:57 PMFallacy of composition. The whole is immoral, but the parts are not necessarily immoral.

Oh, so you just think it's immoral that it's teaching there's a god and that Jesus is the only way to get into heaven?

That is a beef I have with it, yes.

Nice generalizations. Dammit, I'm doing it again. I really need to stop posting in religious threads.
I specifically worded it to *not* over-generalize, lol.
Meh. Seemed fairly general to me, but I'm also fairly tired.
Especially if you are too afraid / lazy to actually address the core arguments and just go after low-hanging fruit like my post.
It's more that I prefer to discuss controversial topics like religion and politics in person, so said discussions are less likely to degrade into flaming and petty insults. But I'm also lazy and I articulate ideas far more quickly speaking than I do typing them out.
