Guys, I figured it out. Call of Duty Ghosts is a sci fi game. The dog is actually Bolt, and this takes place in another solar system with a binary star where a planet has been terraformed by humans. The world collapsing you see in the trailer? Yeah, that's the side effect of terraforming the planet- it will all get unstable in the near future.
