What are some good workouts at home with no equipment?

I haven't gotten paid yet so I can't pick up any weights or anything and I would like to start on building muscle or at least working out at home. So what are some good workouts I can do? Also do protein shakes and stuff like that work or should I not even bother getting them?

    • Try P90X, it is tough and most of it can be done "at home".
Also do protein shakes and stuff like that work or should I not even bother getting them?
They're an absolute must-have for a lot of people. Granted, you won't be getting most of your protein through shakes (Gotta eat that meat), they're great post-workout. Just buy some flavored Whey powder and blend it with some milk, that's what I always do. Tastes like Nesquik, and you can get a lot of your daily percentage through them. P.S, you don't need to drink protein shakes immediately after your workout. You can drink them anytime within an hour and a half, and there'll be no loss to your gains. However, you need to remember that joining a gym should be your ultimate priority. That's where you'll really start to get on track for sexy-town.

        • Lots of stuff. Basics like pushups, situps, and other calisthenics are great ways to start building stamina, which will come in handy when you get the equipment.

        • What if you just joined a gym? That's what i did. I have no personal experience with drinking protein shakes on a daily basis so i couldn't tell you. But i imagine that they work to some extent if you incorporate it properly with the right diet i imagine.

          • Not a workout, but doing the cobra stretch after some curl-ups really helps your abs.

          • Just get a gym membership. Trust me you will not be motivated enough to actually work out from home and buying weights and such will just be a waste of your time and money.
