  • If you are truly passionate about what you're doing, money should have nothing to do with it. Unless you're passionate about money, of course!

  • Money = More Content and freedom for the developer to make better games.

  • Money can't buy good ideas. Jason Jones just said it: the people who do this well (creating games), aren't doing it for the money.

  • Of course not but if they are allowed more money to make the games, then they are given less stress that their job could be taken away, and more money could be put towards new technologies and things that cost money like Mocap.

  • Yes, true, but I don't think curbing creativity in effort to gain a broader audience can ever be justified. Selling out is selling out.

  • True True. I mean Deej said it himself, if Destiny can get a T rating, it will. If getting that T rating would conflict with the vision behind the game, then it's selling out.

  • I fail to see how blood and gore = creativity or how making a creative decision to not have blood and gore in a game = curbing creativity. The grisly stuff is secondary. Setting and gameplay are what's important. If they want to shy away from splattering gallons of red across the screen for WHATEVER reason, even if that reason is just to widen the audience and make more money, I say let them.

  • I absolutely agree; it's not the blood and gore that I'm worried about. I'm worried about the story being toned down, or characters winding up "softened". I would like to see Destiny as gritty as it needs to be.

  • But it could detract from the story and wouldn't give the game its justice.
