The most severe injury you've received?
What is the most severe injury you've received in your life?
Mine happened when I was a toddler, something or other ripped through the lower part of my mouth and my mother had to sew it up. Now I have two nifty lil' scars on my bottom lip :D
What severe physical (or even mental) injuries have you attained in your life! I'd really love to know!

Physical:When I was a toddler my skull was almost split wide open after a steel stocking hanger fell down on me Mental:My brother was predicted to be born handicapped he wasn't and he is fine but this really broke me at that time

Hit by a speeding taxi when I was 5 broke my hip and cracked the back of my skull

Got tackled in football. Tore my meniscus in my knee. Almost like an arrow...

I bit a hole in my tongue when I was 2 or 3. It's affected how I speak and now I have a unusual accent. Or I got pushed into a metal pole and crack my head open. I had to get external and internal stitches and the Doctor said my skull was visible.

Had my jaw dislocated, broke my tailbone, and broke my wrist. I think my wrist was my worst injury. That's the one where I had to wear a cast for a while.

Fractured skull after playing rugby and being dropped on my head. And. Being stabbed in the neck by a makeshift "shank".

Tore the labrum in my right shoulder 8months ago.... If i had chosen to do surgery on it id have to keep it motionless for 10months so it could heal. As of right now i just rehabed it and it permanately be torn till i have surgery which wont be for awhile.....

I split my head open after falling arse over tit on black ice. Thankfully, no stitches were needed as my natural Wolverine style healing abilities kicked in.

Couldn't use a computer for a week but I remember managing to play Battlefront, which was embarrassing at how awful my aim was because of the cast.

Physical? Probably these severe stomach pains I used to have frequently from stress. I told some girls I know about it and they said what I described was kinda like a period. Needless to say, I'm blown away that chicks put up with that sort of thing every month. Mental? Does depression count?

I was running with a person on my back for rugby and managed to step in a pothole it was only a sprain with major bone damage and all of my tendons in my ankle snapped

Physical? My back and arms are covered in scars. Mental? It scares the shit out of me that almost dying didnt scare me.

Ripped my big toenail away from my toe and hairline fractured it. Probably the worst physical injury I've had. The worst ailment in general is this horrible bonespur in my nose that's causing chronic migraines. Can't wait to get it removed, holy shit,

Sprained my ankle my freshmen year of high school. Had to wear a special boot for nearly two months. It was so annoying wearing that thing everywhere but it was better than using crutches!

7 RepliesMy foot locked in a downward position. Doctors called it a "medical anomaly" and offered no solid reason for it happening. After several x-rays, MRI's, and a rather unpleasant nerve test, I was told "we don't know why it happened, but we know how to fix it." Warning, kinda gross.
