I am nearly 40, this was the first time I have ever required crutches.
I had to get my cartilage smoothed out from my knee, and now I am told to only walk when I need to.
4 to 8 weeks on crutches. Like hell. I'll be off of them if I have a choice by next week.
This really makes me realize how out of shape I am. Once I am back in working order, I am going to be a gym rat I think getting back into shape.
Hopefully good news comes soon, because I was told I need a chest x-ray because they are afraid I may of aspirated during the surgery.
Joy.

I started getting into working out after full recovery from my kneecap stabilisation surgery too. Not to be the bringer of bad news but depending on your activity you'll most likely suffer some degree of muscular atrophy from lack of movement.

I've had 4 knee surgeries. And yes, knee surgery sucks.

This is off topic, but if we combine your username with my avatar we could be a full-blown Lannister.
