No OP is not trying to interpret Bungie's design plans in different ways hes criticizing it because it is less realistic. It does not matter that the destiny world is on its way up, they should not hide the reality of a planet being driven to extinction. And even if earth was starting to fight back the process would still be grizzly. What you have to understand is that all Halo games were rated M for Mature and they really were not that bad so the fact that destiny might be T for teen means the game is going to be VERY VERY dumbed down.
