Ok. Put it this way. I would call this a sci-fi game , not a Fantasy game. Cat ears are meant for anime, MMORPGs (Destiny is NOT an MMORPG, just so you know), and obviously, cats. Let me give you an idea of what sci-fi is. It is a movie usually based off of extraterrestrial communications, amazing science advancements that haven't happened yet, or even the unknown. For example: Halo is a sci-fi game and does NOT need cat ears because it won't fit and would look wrong. Predator is a sci-fi film about an alien that likes to hunt humans and claim their skulls as trophies. Cat ears would look stupid on an alien such as the predator. Fantasy is different from sci-fi. I don't know if you are a troll or not, but regardless, this should sum it up for you.

And they do not even have to be genetic modifications, they can simply be a cosmetic headpiece that can put on and taken off just like a headband, why is everyone making such a big deal about it?

It does NOT fit in! No sci-fi game or movie that I know about had cat ears. That's called fantasy! Now everyone is making a big deal about it because you clearly don't get the serious, cold vibe that Destiny is going towards. You can find enough cat ears in anime. Before you even jump to conclusions, I actually like anime a lot! But it will NOT mix! It will kill the serious tone and ruin the game to even just SEE someone wearing cat ears.

Well it will ruin it for me to not see cat ears on my character, you know, because it is my character, and the people who do not like it will not be forced to use it. And you are also not forced to stare at my character the whole time you are playing, because we are not going to play together.

Ok. But you are pretty much the only person who wants them. Game companies don't add shit for one random person. Trust me, they won't. Also, realize that this game is not being marketed towards people who are like you. Not trying to be offensive, it is just truth.

Fair enough, but it seems that you are the 1%, no, the 0.000000000000000000000000001% that wants them in this game. In other words, basically the only person. Games don't make features specifically for one random person. Learn it well.
