I live in California. All I'll say is that many businesses are moving out. Family members of mine are business owners and I can attest to the horrendous taxes placed on even small businesses. Businesses tend to either close down or relocate out of state. Currently this is true for more specialized brick and mortar stores. The malls and bigger restaurants have kept busy with people mindlessly spending their money every opportunity they get. The state won't be able to sustain itself like this much longer.
