Cat ears in Destiny?
Should we be able to put cat ears on our characters in Destiny? It would be so cute!! =^.^=

The uneducated folk aren't going to want and buy this game if there are "cat ears" in Destiny, among other stupid things like this. It's like the fairy type in Pokemon: it just keeps adding to the stereotype that Pokemon is for kids. No. Just, no.

2 RepliesThe general consensus on the inclusion of cat ears as a customization option for Destiny's player avatars is: no. It would be too strange, even to be included in a Bungie game. Also, cat ears would subtract from the somber tone of Destiny. It would damage the theme of desperation and it would serve to be a distraction in the game world. In conclusion, the Bungie community, at least 75%, dislikes the idea of cat ears as a customization option and within that percentage many are harshly opposed to it.

Everyone in the whole community could want cat ears, but since they don't fit into the theme/ feeling of the game they will never happen. 6 RepliesOk. Put it this way. I would call this a sci-fi game , not a Fantasy game. Cat ears are meant for anime, MMORPGs (Destiny is NOT an MMORPG, just so you know), and obviously, cats. Let me give you an idea of what sci-fi is. It is a movie usually based off of extraterrestrial communications, amazing science advancements that haven't happened yet, or even the unknown. For example: Halo is a sci-fi game and does NOT need cat ears because it won't fit and would look wrong. Predator is a sci-fi film about an alien that likes to hunt humans and claim their skulls as trophies. Cat ears would look stupid on an alien such as the predator. Fantasy is different from sci-fi. I don't know if you are a troll or not, but regardless, this should sum it up for you.

6 RepliesOkay this thread won't seem to die. I respect your want for cat ears, however, I feel as though they are too novelty for a game like this. They would fit perfectly into a game with a sense of humor like borderlands, but they would just seem out of place in destiny. There is no need in real life for a combat ready soldier to have cat ears. I could see horns being justified first, because fear and shock are assets on a battlefield, but sadly cat ears have no place in a dying world's war zones.

That being said, if you take a close look at all Destiny's atmosphere, theme and aesthetics... you can know when a suggestion will screech. Remember that Tigerman didn't make the cut? Despite being a valid suggestion (as all suggestions are), I'm afraid your cat-ears will have a hard time here. And your Final Fantasy's pics aren't helping either. This isn't Guild Wars or any other Medieval-Fantasy MMO, I know you can tell the difference.
