It was inside a thread. Why would people that may find it offensive or have a shit humor go into the thread, probably get offended as hell and start reporting away? If they can read the jokes, then they sure as hell can read the threads title. It was clearly stated the thread wasn't for those with weak humors or such type of persons. It's not like it was a misleading title thread. Plus, it lasted for a week, so you tell me.

Rules are the rules just because a thread says "disregard the rules ITT" doesn't mean you should do that. If I posted a thread saying "Post porn ITT" how many people do you think you actually go about doing that? Probably not that many. Distasteful jokes is pretty much that, but to a lesser degree. As for the thread lasting a long time that doesn't mean much old threads in the past have been bumped and as a result people were banned. As for why people with a poor sense of humor would go into such a thread the simple answer is this is the Internet people will do what they want.

Trust me, the thread wasn't bumped. It remained on the first and second page for the entire week. If it was such a problem or such in blatant position against the rules, the mods would have locked it down before it would have made hot topic, but they didn't. And the thread wasn't 'disregard the rules ITT'. It was a thread, in which there was a warning about the content and that people that would find it offensive shouldn't click on it. It wasn't a porn thread or a racist thread or something like that. It was kept well within civilized terms. Hell I had a lot of people actually like the stuff I posted, as I'm sure many others had as well. Plus the rules have been relaxed A LOT with the update. I've seen much worse things go unpunished. I even see people throw out racist comments and nothing happens to them. You tell me.
