EvE is one of the deepest games out there, huge events that happen in the game are entirely made by the players. You don't see that in other games. But of course, EvE is for a very particular group of people, hence the nickname, "spreadsheets: the game". Star Citizen is also a Sim though, so don't buy it expecting an action game. And no, it's like Guild Wars 2, you buy it once, play forever.
