Warlock underpowered
From what I see every other race gets magic so they are equal with the warlock. Now warlock has no attributes that are special.

All guardians have space magic. What class you are determines what kind of space magic you get. If warlock was the only one, the other classes would be boring...

Think of Battlefield 3. Warlock is the assault class, Titan is engineer, Hunter is Recon! We all have our attributes!

3 RepliesWe've seen 12 minutes of gameplay. Bungie is most likely keeping what makes each class special to themselves for now. I'm sure the Warlocks will be fine. I mean, one advantage they have already is that they can [i]launch [/i]their space magic; Titans have to get up close and personal to use the Fist of Havoc.

Umm. Did you not see giant energy explosion that took about ten seconds to recharge. It killed the devil walker from close to a third of its health

Anyways.. just think of it this way, fellow Warlock lover. Titans has the most armour and will probably be the go-to class for the majority of players Hunters are about 50-50, evenly mixed with armour and cloth so they'll be the inbetween guys. Warlocks seem to pretty much be all cloth armour, you know what that means? Glass cannon. The Warlocks will probably be squishy as hell but I bet you they'll pack a nasty punch!

In the interview with Jason Jones I think he said something about his favorite class being the warlock because of all the cool space magic he can do like heals and buffs so I think they'll be ok. If it's good enough for Jason Jones it's probably good enough for me.

im sure when they use talents theyll be way more powerfull, in the E3 demo though the person playing was a Lock though Idk if the other person was a lock or hunter but still, Warlocks Magic will be stronger do to talent tree system im sure, since its a MMO style game and iv seen the guns have on im sure its there its probably out somewhere i just missed it.

im pretty certain the that the warlock will get more traveler powers than the other two , plus buffs of various kinds

2 RepliesHere's a question OP, if the Warlock was the only class that had special abillities, then how do you make the Hunter and the Titan distinct from each other? Class abillities are the part of the sandbox which will bring each class to life, and just because every class has access to them doesn't mean that Warlocks aren't special anymore. It's like in League of Legends, every champion has abillities that they use, regardless of whether or not they are a Mage, a Support, a Tank, or a Fighter, but the different abillities that each archetype gets vary wildly between one another. As a Mage I have a lot of burst, as a support I get great disengage, as a Tank I get lots of disruption, as a Fighter I get gap closers, so on and so forth. In short, don't worry about it guy.

We don't know the [i]extent[/i] of each classes prowess with magic. More than likely, the Warlock will have access to more powers, and almost certainly do more damage when using magic.

2 RepliesIt was said in descriptions of destiny pre reveal that all character would have special abilities. The Titan did a ground pound and the Hunter channeled energy directly into their weapon. Basic stuff. On the other hand the Warlock is tossing around supernovae like its nobody's business. Each class is special and they have powers that fit into the idea and design of each class. I don't see any class being better than any other except in regards to specialties.
