On-velope or in-velope?

How do you say envelope? Edit: Just to clear things up, the reason I chose to say in- rather than en- is because people are often confused, and think I'm giving the same choice twice. In- helps emphasize the sound I'm trying to convey.

    If I am speaking of the concept, for example the performance envelope of an aircraft? ON-vel-ope. If I am speaking of the container of correspondence? EN-vel-ope If I am using the verb? en-VEL-up Related and similar question. How do you pronounce entrepreneur?
