Well shit. If CEA is anything to go by, it'll be half-assed as -blam!-. "It's not about the digits" - This guy must be talking out of his ass. He knows rightly that any long time Halo fan will snatch up a H2A in an instant.

That's because he is. From the videos that I saw he is a dipshit.
-
CEA is "half-assed"?
-
Probably means due to that multiplayer, but we all know the reasoning for that. Campaign wise, CEA was exactly what we wanted with updated graphics, co-op, and terminals for something extra.
-
Exactly.

It also kills it because you're using next gen sounds in old en graphics. -The didn't even bother to update the models. They just replaced them with Reach models. It kills the whole point of this being a remake when they didn't even remake the models. -They killed the atmosphere for 343 Guilty Spark. In the old graphics there are walls covered in blood. Which added to the mystery of the level. In the HD graphics you can hardly see the blood. -The manage to add an online CO-OP to the game which the original didn't have, but they didn't bother with the MP. The original already has a balanced MP and there's that PC version to go by. The only reason why I think they didn't is because they're afraid that game would dray more people than Halo 4. The MP is the main reason why I want a Halo 2A. -For the HD graphics they didn't even bother to update the hitboxes. *Truth and Reconciliation: There are parts of the cliff that you hit an indivisible wall. That's because in the HD graphics they made the edges smaller. *Assault On The Control Room. In the HD graphics the trees are bare, but if you shoot through the bare spots you hit an invisible wall. That's because in the original graphics the trees are full. *Two Betrayals. The tress have the same problem, but there are also parts of the cliff that you can fly through. By that I mean they extended parts of the cliff so you can go behind those parts.
-When you switch over to the old graphics the weapon sounds stay the same. so that kills playing in them when you're not getting the full experience. It also kills it because you're using next gen sounds in old en graphics.
You can change this in the main menu for both the music and sound effects. While I'm no programmer, I imagine that there must've been a fair bit of difficulty implementing these effects to switch over. The old graphics/new graphics switch itself was apparently almost cut early on because it was difficult to implement.
-The didn't even bother to update the models. They just replaced them with Reach models. It kills the whole point of this being a remake when they didn't even remake the models.
This I don't have a particularly big problem with. I think that some of the models look really good (the black Spec-Ops Elite especially), but with that said I was disappointed that the Elites with the curved helmets weren't given a new model and the Zealot armour wasn't anywhere near as distinctive in its colour.
-They killed the atmosphere for 343 Guilty Spark. In the old graphics there are walls covered in blood. Which added to the mystery of the level. In the HD graphics you can hardly see the blood.
Agreed. Even though it doesn't instill that same sense of fear and dread in me, I do like the ambience of the graphically updated mission.
The original already has a balanced MP
This I'm sort of torn on. CE's vehicles were massively overpowered in how you were insta-killed if your little toe was so much as touched and the pistol was also a bit too good on large, open maps without much cover.
-For the HD graphics they didn't even bother to update the hitboxes.
This I definitely found annoying. When flying the Banshee around on Two Betrayals, there were so many occasions where I'd see a perfectly open space, go to fly through it and then hear that disheartening clank when I hit an invisible cliff wall... Overall, while there was definitely room for improvement with CEA, I still love it. I was playing it through on Heroic the other day actually and just found myself enjoying the experience, looking at how beautiful the updated visuals were. What should definitely have been implemented though is Theatre mode...

Not to mention that the HD reticle is ever-so-slightly off where it should be, making it hard to hit. And the lip-sync is a little worse.
-
If they are going to make H2A, Hopefully they it'll be better than the outcome of CEA because they will hopefully learned a few things from remastering CEA.
-
One can hope! But if they don't remaster it, I'll probably be alright with it.
