Won't Destiny just be Spartan Ops at a bigger scale?
I mean, Spartan Ops is just you going on missions with friends or strangers in large spaces, completing objectives and killing enemies...
Isn't the whole game of Destiny gonna be like that, only at a bigger scale?
It doesn't sound too interesting now, considering how much Spartan Ops sucked. Also, I hope Destiny doesn't lag as much as Spartan Ops (although it might, considering how much bigger the world will be, and also the whole game will be like this)

I also want to point out that each map in Destiny is 3km x 3km (1.8mi x 1.8mi). I saw that in a very spiffy youtube video (can't remember which one). You decide whether or not that info can be trusted.

Destiny looks the way I wished spartan ops was going to be community focused fun engaging adventurous and challenging.

Guys really! its not a Mythic Sci-Fi shooter with rpg elements taken from rpgs nope its<put game here> Lets compare as it is nothing like them but<relate to game here> as it is like that game but is not. While Bungie made Halo they have no hand in making the current ones(Halo 4, Soon to come out Halo 5) Lets listen to Bungie who is Deving this finely crafted game. Spartan Ops is not a full part of a game. Watch the GDC on Halo 4 see what 343i has to say. Or you can investigate Destiny make an informed decision. We cannot tell you what it is as you need to find out on your own. The weak sauce you spouted would earn you the weak sauce of the month award on the spot if it existed. Thing of it is research before you post.

I'd rather say that spartan ops is like CoD......not really, but CoD is more like "Ok, we gotta get to the rally point, go! go! go! OOOOHHHHHH blam!!! people are shooting at us!!! return fire!!!! oh crap!!!! Jackson, get on the machine gun!!!! there's are helicopter!! oh blam!! it was shot down too!!!!! Jackson, get on th-(Boom, headshot)......" i know its realistic, and i'm not trying to put down our armed forces, but in the relm of video games, it just gets old, this has nothing to do with the original topic does it?

If you're naive enough to think that Destiny and SpartanOps will be similar in that way, can't we just extend it to say that playing Halo campaigns cooperatively is the same thing? Really, the whole series you run around shooting through enemies to go complete an objective, thus ending the level. Heck, that's how any FPS is, to a degree. No, Destiny will be much more story driven. Larger worlds to explore. Random, dynamic public events.

3 RepliesThe most important difference is if I get teamed up with a bunch of rocket spamming whores and AFKs I can walk away and go somewhere else. Like a another planet. I'm not stuck running back and forth over the same map pushing the same buttons over and over. Seriously Bungie needs to show the masses you can turn around in the Demo and run off and do something else. Or walk along the wall instead of going through it. People are not really getting the how large this thing is.
