I would like to see what the lot of you like better and why. . . For me it is easily the Xbox One. primarily for its exclusives, and for the newer non-exclusives (Kingdom Hearts III mainly). Kingdom Hearts III being announced for the Xbox One got rid of my reason to want a PS4. And of course, its Xbox Live features are a major turn-on.

  • Anyone who prefers the Xbox One over the PS4 is just a bad spender in every sense of the phrase. For someone to pay 100 dollars more for a console with inferior hardware and redundant features is just moronic. Not to mention paying 10 dollars more for a service that bombards you with advertisements, has paywalls for a service you probably already bought, and has a lot less content than the Playstation network. And games? The only decent games the Xbox platform ever had was Halo and Gears, and we're talking about two incredibly generic sci fi shooters whereas the Playstation platform has had numerous critically acclaimed games and GOTY's. Not to mention the multiplatform titles will run better on the PS4.

    • How does TV work on the Xbox One. Do I still have to pay to watch tv? Can I take my "360 to X1" profile BACK to the 360 to play it's games and earn more achievements, since there is no backwards compatibility?

      • For me, it's Xbox One for a few reasons. 1) I have been an Xbox player for the past decade so I have put a lot of time into these consoles and I enjoy the games. 2) Xbox Live, which IMO, will always be better than PSN. The phrase "you get what you pay for" applies here. I have always been satisfied with XBL. 3) I like Microsoft's vision of where gaming is headed. Sure, they made some mistakes and couldn't present a cohesive presentation that would excite people instead of enraging them. I expect to see family sharing return once MS sees that downloaded games have a vast majority of purchases, which will come by them showing again and again the benefits of downloading instead of physical media. I'll give you two examples: Steam for gaming and Apple for entertainment. Steam and PC gaming is obvious so I won't go into that, but take a look at Apple. What did they do first, release a store where you could digitally purchase and download music instead of a physical disc. It took a while, but look at how big it has grown. The iTunes Store offers music, movies, TV shows, and more. They even have a Mac App Store to purchase software for your computer. Apple is so confident in digital media, that they are phasing out disc drives on their computers. Only the non-retina MacBook Pro's have disc drives. Even the iMacs ate drive less and the new Mac Pro won't have them. And if you absolutely need a disc drive, you can buy one externally. I think Microsoft is headed in that direction with the Xbox. They just tried to rush it. With how much Microsoft is learning from and emulating Apple with Microsoft stores, merging phone OS and computer OS, I wouldn't be surprised, if digitally downloading games becomes insanely popular, that the next Xbox will have no disc drive, but will have an external Blu-Ray drive as an accessory. That's what I call innovation. To me the PS4 is the PS3 with improved specs, updated OS, improved social tools and a slightly improved controller. But all this is just my opinion.
better put on my flame suit... *ziiiiiiiip*
• Read it thoroughly so in one short article MS confirms: 1.) The kinect does indeed collect info. 2.) Cannot be powered off independently from the console, which is something i think most knew..but the fanboys wanted to pretend that was not the case. now they cannot argue that point anymore. 3.) The console and MS in general have more interest in reaching "other" demographics, they are unconcerned with core gamers. 4.) A major design consideration in both the kinect and the console is advertising 5.) they believe that the consumer will tolerate invasive ads as part of the "experience"

This is the first time I have seen a thread like this. Obviously Xbox one for superior multiplayer.

          • One thing I've seen a lot is the outrage over the used game and borrowed game issue. I honestly don't see that being much of a problem. For me; I don't usually buy used games, the ones I buy are usually games that are like 6 years old, and those would be rather cheap new anyway. Games that people buy used are usually within the range of one year old I'd say, and those remain about the price of their newer counterparts. This policy won't even matter until about a year into the Xbox One's life anyway. The one problem however is with the borrowed game policy, that is the one downer I have about the Xbox One

          • I'm debating between PS4 and Wii U, but I'm probably gonna go Playstation this gen around. Xbox One only looks good for Halo and Dead Rising 3, (DR3 only because Microsoft no doubt gave Capcom a swimming pool of gilded 100 bills to not release it for PS4.) I want Wii U for Smash Bros and all the other epic first parties, but I could still get in on that with a 3DS...

            • I'd like to see one reason that isn't Halo for why anyone, and I mean ANYONE, would want an Xbone over a PS4.

            • I'm on the fence. A lot could change, so I'll wait to see what happens. Going with one before you know everything is the equivalent to putting all if you eggs in one basket. You can do it, but it's not smart,
