The USA would have been flat on its arse without the Russians. We Brits managed to successfully deter the Germans during the Battle of Britain. With the Luftwaffe defeated the Germans couldn't take Britain. Ok so we didn't have the man power to take back mainland Europe but the USA would've continued isolationism if Pearl Harbour hadn't happened. And without our navy to defeat the U-Boats you would never have transported 1.5 million troops to Britain for D-Day. I could brag about the Enigma code breakers and radar as well...

Don't forget about the commonwealth nations, especially Canada. We flew along side you guys for the battle of Britain, and helped escort ships half way across the Atlantic, straight into your protective hands.

They steam rolled us so much they couldn't win in the battle of Britain LOL/ Britain was bombing Germany long before America joined and the plans for D-Day where being drawn up before America joined to. Also the battle of the Atlantic victory was mainly down to British forces and technology. Britain would have won regardless of America entering after all the 1st 2-3 years still had resources coming from America through normal trade and around the world.

As well as from other nations and we all acknowledge those pilots efforts and thank them for helping to defend the UK. But in the grand scheme of things 20 American pilots is nothing compared to the thousands of British pilots flying in the battle of Britain. Lend lease was signed after we won the battle of Britain because Britain proved it can stay in and win the fight. Also we had to make deals with the Americans such as allowing them to use bases in British Indian Ocean territory for 99 years effectively undermining our sovereignty. An ally would help without a clause, America did things in it's own interests if Pearl Habour didn't happen then America would never have joined the war.
