HALO 5 is copying Destiny!
Wow, 343 is retarded, and unoriginal. The trailer shows Master Chief in a cloak/cape.
Why the hell would Chief, in a SPARTAN suit, need a cape? His suit can't protect him from the wind and sand? LOL
This is 343 just trying to be "epic", and they're failing miserably.
The worst part is, given how Destiny has a ton of capes as well, this is just gonna have people confuse the two series, and they're gonna say Destiny is a rip off of Halo.

3 RepliesFirst off I liked the halo "5" teaser. Chief looks a bit broken, his visor is cracked who knows what else is wrong with his suite. Whatever planet he is on looks blazing, maybe his suite isn't processing heat properly. Saying that people are going to confuse destiny with halo because of "capes" is ridiculous.

Bungie gave them Halo, you know that right? 343 Studios has improved Halo so much, and I won't lie I was mad and confused at Bungie for handing off the franchise. I got over it and saw how great Halo 4's campaign and multiplayer experience was.

Chief may not have wanted to be recognized or genuinely did need the extra protection from the wind as his armour was damaged. Nowhere did I think 343 ripped of Destiny as cloaks aren't exactly a big part of Destiny anyway. Ripping off Destiny would be if the covenant wiped out humanity and there was one safe city and Master Chief suddenly got jedi powers.

It was probably just for the trailer so that we didn't actually know it was him until the end. He probably won't be wearing a cloak in the game.

1 ReplyI thought that the trailer was really cool. They used to cloak to hide his identity until the very end of the trailer. I had no idea it was coming. Also, it's a cinematic trailer. You can't really judge anything from it. Don't come to drastic conclusions until they start showing us gameplay footage.

wu? Ok, I agree with you when you said that there was no point in master chief having a cape... but I think they just had to for dramatic effect... it was amazing when you first saw his hand reach out and then you saw master chief....

I'm assuming this is a troll, but... c'mooon. I imagine he is wearing a cloak because his armor has a lot of edges that sand could get stuck in. He may not want to be noticed as a Spartan by immediate sight. He has a crack on his visor. Seems reasonable to 'keep it clean'. Halo and Destiny are respectively their own franchises with their own ideas. Cloaks belong to no franchise. Also.. Long live Halo!

Pretty sure the cape was to hide chief until they showed his helmet. I very much doubt you will play the game with a robe...

Hmm maybe since his armor is evidently damaged it gets hotter than hell in the desert. And stop trolling Master chief is such a well known icon no one is going to confuse destiny with halo just because he has a parka thingy.
