OK, Shepard did every option right, he purchased all the DLC and everyone is happy. As a result, everyone is in the fleet. Asari, Turians, Geth, Humans, Quarian...everybody.
They give the signal and everyone jumps. There is a dimensional rip, and the end up materializing right at the Covenant's doorstep right after Truth ascended to power, but before the war with humanity. Both sides are at the height of power.
The battle is joined as a grunt accidentally trips and lands on the fire control of a plasma launcher.
Who wins?

Interestingly, both universes' technology is based of an ancient race of supremely powerful beings. But Forerunners > Protheans, and the Covy ships are probably better.
-
Lets put it this way, ok? Arbiter vs Commander Shepard. Who wins?
-
Covenant will roflstomp almost any universe in space.
-
Better question. Super Galaxy Gurren Lagann versus both the covenant and me3 fleet.
-
Covenant wins through numbers but takes substantially more casualties.
-
The Covenant win this by a landslide. Hell, the UNSC could trash them. What a joke.
-
The Covenant would steamroll through anything ME could throw them at, atleast in space. Ground fights might be on par.
-
The Covenant take this war. Their ships are years (literally) ahead of that of the entire ME series. They have probably, in total might of ground-pounders, more than triple that of any and maybe all of ME combined. The Reapers are a down-graded, more arrogant version of the Flood, and are only half the battle. The rest of the factions stand no chance. The Covenant take space easily, and ground almost as easily. Give them Thel Vadam and a few other smart and powerful leaders, and they take the ground.

So, I just watched the fleet battle to try to get a number on how many ships. Its thousands, easily. The flashes of the ships coming out of FTL look like rain on a windshield. But, I just thought of this: The Reapers were between Earth and the Fleet. There must have been a rain of depleted uranium coming in at near C right at Earth. Then the debris from all those wrecked ships falling... Earth would have been uninhabitable within seconds of that battle. Anyways, I see the ME fleet numbers and the volleys of shots raining into Covenant ships popping shields and killing quite a few. The shields aren't impregnable. Unyielding Heirophant had 500 ships with her. High Charity probably has triple that. Add in the odd fleet or two, that would put the Covenant at 3,000 or so ships total (Capital and frigates). I see the Covenant coming out, but with only 500 or so surviving ships.

Mass Effects fleets tend to be very......shit... Because every species in the galaxy (Except the god tier Turians and Humans)in ME is like "We need to have a small military and liek peace!!11!!!" But when they get into a actual war like the Reaper War they go crying to the 2 power houses. Ground Forces in ME are alright....they have biotics and Krogans But even if the ME ground forces somehow...win the Covvies would just glass the -blam!- out of them
-
As much as I prefer ME I have to say the Covies win this. Superior weapons, numbers and shields tend to make for a better fleet. However, I'd say the ME Fleet would mop the floor with the UNSC, since every ME ship's (minus Geth, I believe) main weapons are essentially MACs (Smaller or bigger)
-
Covenant are more badass.
-
Let's put it this way in terms of overall battles (space is pretty much the only thing that matters in this kind of scale). UNSC would maybe be able to beat the combined mights of ME in a year at the very least. Covenant would be able to beat the combined mights of ME in a month or two. Ancient Humanity would be able to slam ME in a week. Forerunners would be able to wipe the floor with ME within a day. Precursors would be able to laugh and put them out of their misery within a few minutes.
-
The math has already been done on this. Covenant > UNSC > Reapers > ME Combined fleets
-
A lot of Mass Effect weapons are kinetic energy, MAC are kinetic energy weapons, and as stated before, I'm sure that Halo MAC > Mass Effect Accelerators in terms of energy. Most covenant ships shrugged off MAC blasts, and it took multiple hits just to break the shields, unless it's a SMAC. Therefore, Covenant > Mass Effect.
-
I'm pretty sure the covenant has a capital ship for every ship shown in the end of ME3.
-
Space: Covenant hands down. Ground forces: ME marginally maybe.
-
Didn't someone do the math and say that the ships in the halo universe are stronger than the ships in the ME universe? If that is true then I would go with Covenant. If it was a ground engagement I would go with the ME forces.
