T4R, just in case somebody uses my computer, there are some files I'd rather they did not come across. Is there some way I can set a password to lock certain folders?

I'd recommend making a separate volume and then using TrueCrypt. http://www.truecrypt.org/downloads Hell, get a 64GB SD card, encrypt it and keep you "eyes only" stuff on it.

I don't think Windows supports passwords on folders natively so you'll probably have to look for a software solution somewhere.

Set the folder to invisible in properties and then hide invisbile folders in folder options Also try hiding your porn in a flash drive or on the cloud next time.

Edited by Psy: 5/28/2013 1:10:44 AMI did laugh at the tags. I had a program on my old laptop that let you secure files with passwords and folders etc. I got a bit paranoid once and passworded every file on my laptop from word.exe to mp3 files. Stupidest thing I ever did, it was like asking to go to the bathroom everytime I wanted to do anything. Either way if you are a pervert or paranoid http://office.microsoft.com/en-gb/word-help/password-protect-documents-workbooks-and-presentations-HA010148333.aspx That should help you out. I just realized you'd probably want to be locking Mp3/4 files... http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20070606024713AAm5Vvp Try that to lock the actual folder they are in.
