At the very least a stronger shift should be made towards Technocracy. As it stands the uninformed public are making the shots and they aren't doing too well. They've elected in people not looking out for the best interests of the people or the state but people looking to be career politicians who lie, cheat, steal whenever possible. Our nation has a bunch of problems yet our Congress is hopelessly gridlocked because that's how the politicians get re-elected: If you don't vote for Romney, Obama is gonna turn America into a 3rd world country. Businesses buy public votes with massive spending campaigns to drown out alternative messages, no matter how true.
