Because it has:
Killed hundreds of thousands if not millions of innocent people
Caused countries to hate us (who wouldn't if a foreign army invaded their country?)
Been there for decades
Has wasted trillions of dollars
Accomplished absolutely nothing
Those are just a few.

Millions of innocent people, huh? By all means I'd love a source for that. And based on the link I posted by the Washing Post, it has accomplished something. And the War on Terror started in 2001. It's only been a little over a decade.

So a ~3000 decline in incidents (out of 14000 originally, a 20% drop) is justification for the people we've lost either in open conflict or due to open conflict, the two wars which ballooned our deficit, and the erosion of our personal freedoms? Or is it reasonable for TSA agents to basically -blam!- you when you go through the detectors now?

The decline of deaths from terrorism is more significant. Anyway, what did you honestly expect in wartime? People die, money is lost. It's always been like that, and it always will be. Sure the economics could have been handled better, I won't deny that, but frankly some retaliation had to have been made. And progress is being made. The number of troops who have lost their lives pales in comparison to the number of Taliban and Al Qaeda belligerents that have been killed. And exactly what freedoms have been lost here? And the TSA agents are trying to eliminate the possibility of terrorism or other security hazards. A pat down and scanning is a lot better than a few people dying, and airport security really isn't that bad.

More significant than the 1000s of Americans killed and the 100s of thousands of Iraqis and Afghans? That's cute. And what did I expect from wartime? Well, I don't even believe in those 2 wars and I think they're an idiotic affair to be involved in.

I wasn't even replying to you.

What the hell? Methew made a coherent argument that I fully agree with?! WHAT THE HELL?!
