After the success of Halo: CEA, a lot of people are just assuming that the other game in the series not available on the current generation, will be ported and purtied-up. If that happens, questions will arise about Halo 3 Anniversary, with the game not being available on the Nexus with all its DVR-like capabilities, the instant social networking and YouTube upload functionality, etc. etc.

The main reasons why they remade Halo CE were because: 1. 343i wanted publicity before they released Halo 4 show what they could do, 2. It was the anniversary of the very first Halo game and they wanted new fans to be able to play it and old fans to come back to it, both getting the original and an upgraded experience, and 3. It is the only Halo title that cannot be played on the Xbox 360 by using its disk. The only other way is to buy it on XBL and download the whole game straight to the console.
3. It is the only Halo title that cannot be played on the Xbox 360 by using its disk.
wat I have a Halo: CE disc. Whether or not it's the original my brother bought in 2002, I couldn't tell you. But it works in my 360.

The 1st has no source, it is just common knowledge. As for the third what copy do you have? I thought none of them worked, are you sure yours does?
-
If you insist. And yes, yes it does. It's an original copy of the game and works on my console.

Alright then, I suppose I was misinformed.

My original Halo disc works fine too.
