Is having a nagative opinion about a group persecution?
OK, I think we need to define persecution. Too many people in the theist/atheist debates think it means something it does not.
Most times either side is voicing an opinion of the other. Is having and/or voicing that opinion persecution?

See thats the thing, i dont treat them poorly, i tolerate their choice to believe something stupid, which the abrahamic religions are, i wont respect someone for touting their beliefs. Now if they never mention it in discussion with me, i wont ever say something, but someone is always talking about prayer, and their god, which is -blam!-ing annoying.
