Thoughts on Recon players in Battlefield
What do you think of Recon players in Battlefield? It's a bit of a love hate relatonship with me, I play as one occasionly and support my team from a vantage point but I've seen a lot of Recon users who just sit there all match and don't really do anything.

As long as they play full recon and use their tools to help the team, rather than just sniping.

The Recon class isn't my style of play, but I don't care if other people use it or not.

1 ReplyJust like any other class. It is effective for the right circumstances. There are just as equally stupid medic, engineers, assault people. It just so happens that recons are more obviously retarded in some cases.

Usually because they're trying to snipe from very far away and they can't hit shit. I'm looking at you guys on Karg Island mountain. Of course I can't really say anything bad, because the only thing I can do well in Battlefield is snipe and sometimes drive the tank. But at least I SOFLAM the shit out of everything.

So many occasions where I could have saved multiple lives including my own, but then some asshat that thinks he's playing CoD runs in front of my right as I take my shot...

Some matches I sniped (not from long range but medium range fairly effective and if need be I could help out with charges and stuff), others I took the VSS (the sniper that is fully auto) and armed all the charges myself. If its the recon player that just sits back to snipe then I hate them but if they actually help out they are fine.

I play as one a good bit, but my I'm right there with my squad if I have to be, If I'm not laying dowm support. I'm not looking for those ridiculous long shots, just to help the team win.

They try to get that amazing 1000+m heatshot. I think they need to rethink there strategy.
