What civ to you play as in Civilization V most?
There are many different civilizations in the game, but what do you play as most? Why?
I usually play as Japan because I like the combat benefits and the cities look cooler.

Japan usually, because I like the combat benefits. I also have started to play as Austria, so I can use diplomatic marriage to take city states. I play on easy difficulties, though.

I like the military orientated ones, as I spend most of my time building up my nation and getting crazy industrious, then the minute I get riflemen, the game turns into Warhammer 40k and I wage endless war until everyone flies my flag. As for the Civs I like to play as? Aztecs for that smexy culture bonus. Japan for their extremely useful Bushido bonus, not to mention the best music for a Civ. GERMANEH! So I can research Fascism and conquer everyone for teh lulz. Plus Panzers wreak everything. America for the Minutemen and the increased sight.

I don't really play as any one civilisation, since there are plenty I've still yet to try. I played Russia quite a bit before I got Gods and Kings though.

4 RepliesUsed to be like you OP and play Japan, but I got bored of being too good (I joke I can't win on anything above prince difficulty) and now I let the patriotism flow through me and play as England. I guess I'm a navy sort of guy so the ship of the line is a nice touch, and the improved archer is always good.

England, on island maps, simply because I like to be OP, and completely dominate everything. Plus I was in the Navy for a few years.

Also, does anyone know of a mod that makes the AI leaders smarter and less random? I hate having ally civilizations that turn around in 2 turns and go "now I hate you. Die".

I like Japan, Rome, and Egypt a lot. I switch depending on how I feel like playing. Egypt is good for rapid expansion since you get some food bonus stuff, and Japan and Rome are good for militaristic playthroughs. Also they all have awesome units.

England because why not? historically its the most powerful Civ in the game and everybody seems to hate you so you can easily end up with 3 v 1
