So... Time Bandits (GDC 2013 Panel)

For those of you who missed it, Joe Staten revealed at the Bungie Panel at GDC 2013 yesterday that the 1981 film Time Bandits was a major influence in the early concept planning stages of Destiny. One of the things he mentioned is that the treasure map from that movie (picture above) featured the juxtaposition of a sci-fi-style "map" overlaying an old-style terrestrial map, which influenced the piece of concept art that we now usually just call the "Destiny Map," a source of major speculation over the last year or two. Bungie's presentation featured a picture of the Time Bandits map, which is the first time I had ever seen it. But it instantly looked familiar. Did it look familiar to any of you guys? (and if you're totally lost, see here) Do you think this means anything for the game itself? Is it just more concept art meant to show the interaction of old-school mythology and fantasy combined with futuristic sci-fi that Destiny embodies? Or will it actually have a role in the game? I guess we'll find out (and it looks like I have a new movie I need to watch soon)!
