The hangar in the tower, land it yourself or quick time it?
Well the hangar was brought up twice in the GDC talk, one where it was in the massive ship concept and then the final where it's in the tower in the last city. Personally I'd like to land my ship myself.
It would be interesting if Bungie treated landings like they do on a Flat Top. From what I understand Navy pilots are rated on their carrier landings. I'd find it more realistic if you screwed up on too many landings, you'd get sent to a seedier air strip on the outskirts of the city till you proved you could actually land and not ram your ship into everyone else's rides.
Or do you want a quick time event where you get close to the hangar and you get a auto pilot or cinematic?

i think you should be able to land it your self on outskirt landing pads or wilderness LZ's but for main hangars and such a cinimatic could look pretty nice

landing in such a hangar one's self immediately causes me to imagine how many people would be purposely charging into the hangar at max speed aiming to give everyone in there a bit of a surprise. considering that you aren't supposed to be able to hurt eachother in the open world unless the 2 parties or more have agreed to, it would likely be good times had by all. :P i imagine there will be a quick video once you've neared it and have chosen to land, though.

There should be a landing area that has no friendly ships around it. Once you land, your ship is moved to a main hangar.

I think it would be cool to land it yourself, if done right that is... Like I said to someone else, they should have a certain speed you have to fly around hangers or put a shield that only lets you fly through at a certain speed so people aren't ramming the hanger.

The games 10 years long :P i say let us land every time to keep us in control, otherwise im gonna get sick of that cutscene. so long as i cannot wreck another persons ship or harm the environment that is.
