So is philosophy taking a turn towards "Whatever's best for most people"?
I'm noticing this trend in recent ways of thinking. Can we pretty much confirm that this is the most popular way of thinking lately? If something benefits 51% of the population, then it's automatically the right choice

I still follow this philosophy: "The greatest good for the greatest number applies to the number within the womb of time." As in, whatever's best for most people in the long-term. Slightly different phrasing, but a very important one.

Philosophy is dead, bro. I like it but now it is just a bunch of pretentious retards who get off on trying to be intellectual. Philosophy is supposed to be a reasonable approach to issues of the world.
