Davidge didn't compose 117, it was Kazuma Jinnouchi.

I know, but pretty much every time I make a thread on Halo 4's soundtrack, there's this massive wave of Davidge hate.

  • :( He's no Marty, though. Not by a long shot.

In your opinion. His music is probably my favorite in the Halo series. Aside from ODST. ODST is just some next level god tier soundtrack that transcends music.

  • I didn't enjoy ODST('s OST) very much. I'm aware I'm in the minority in the regard. As for H4, a lot of it is heavily percussive, metallic, futuristic, militaristic. Fits with the aesthetic, yes, but it's not as varied as previous Halos (which was my main qualm with ODST). Plus, not a lot of H4's music is very memorable. I can remember pretty much every one of CE, 2, 3 and Reach's tunes. Can't remember about half of 4's.
