A bit inaccurate. Feminism is women's rights activism, but it has a bad light recently. I'm not some anti-media crazy, but the media doesn't care about activism. Women's activism isn't controversial. Saying women deserve rights isn't an issue; factions of sensationalist people that call themselves feminists posting pictures on the internet or getting screenshots of borderline-crazy statuses about men/Hitler comparisons on Reddit, etc., is news.
We don't like news. We like headlines. That's why pictures like that are so compelling.
Feminist is a terribly broad term, unfortunately the ones that seem to be getting the most attention are the idiotic ones.
Those types of, "feminists" shouldn't even be called feminists as they abandoned true equality long ago. They should be called Anti-Males... You can get creative with names here.
What in the world would make anyone think the term feminist couldn't be applied to Ali? Feminism isn't necessarily something you just "decide" to be but partake in through actions that seek to bring an equality between the sexes. I doubt Ali would reject the label of feminist being applied to her.
Edit: In fact, "feminist" is the fifth word applied to Ali on her Wikipedia description after her name. So obviously it's an important indicator of who she is.
That picture is misleading and mis-characterizing of feminism for its own benefit.
