•
Oblivion pros More interesting main quest More varied and interesting world Game pauses when talking
No, these aren't pros. It's main quest was extremely stupid and had no enjoyable portions of it. Everything in Cyrodil is a generic green forest other than the area around Brevil which was the same as everywhere else but painted white. I don't even know how you can call that last one a pro.

  •
More varied and interesting world
For Oblivion? HAHAHAHA! It was a generic midevil world. It was the most boring of them all. Not only that but the game's world wasn't handcrafted like Skyrim's or Morrowind's. They used a random generator world for it.
Game pauses when talking
Please tell me how that is a pro. That shit was annoying and retarded and caused immersion problems. It was the most hated feature at the bethesda forums that is why they changed it.

  • Oblivion definitely has its own feel, but it felt like a goddamn chore trying to play it for long sessions, thanks to its boring combat. So skyrim.

  • I hated Oblivion. Everyone looked like Shrek and I hated the combat.

    • I like all of them! But...Dark Souls > Fallout New Vegas > Elder Scrolls.

    • Never played Oblivion. I figured it would be more of a burden to play a game as old as oblivion after having played Skyrim. The gameplay machanics and graphics have a big effect on how much I enjoy a game, as they do with a lot of people. I considered buying it once though.

      • I like Oblivion more. Skyrim's main quest and DLC's were better, but Oblivion's world was more varied with it's quests, customization, art direction, etc., which prolongs interest. Regardless, I can barely play either of them for five minutes now without getting bored. I'll make it out of the prologue and "well, I'm done for now."

        • Oblivion had a more interesting overworld in my opinion, though the Dungeons in Skyrim were slightly more interesting. Melee Combat still sucked in both, and the Magic System was uninteresting.
