How did My Little Pony ever get popular?
I'm not trying to insult anybody here, but how did anyone look at My Little Pony when the show was on before it got popular, and thought "Yeah, I'll watch that!" ?

Weird. I was just thinking about this less than 20 minutes ago. I came to the conclusion that some people online decided to watch it as a joke. The joke then started to spread and it became memelike with people exaggerating their positive feelings towards the show, but in the process, their feelings became genuine.
