mmmm, lets see ... basically it is a game which is made for entertainment. From an entertaining/escapism viewpoint would you vote for; 1) truth and accuracy, or 2) exploration of the mind Next we will be debating the validity of the non-human based characters, or the development of space craft. Its entertainment ... let your mind wonder (even if your hands cant)

  • Dead or Alive is not a game seeking practicality. Boobies bouncing everywhere isn't screwing with DoA's continuity (as much as I don't like how it's not doing much for society's ability to progress, but let's leave that behind) Mass Effect's tone is looking for something much more serious, where the characters within it are trying to actually survive in a quite serious plot. Sacrificing continuity for boob armor in a universe that's trying to be taken seriously is not going to work in the long run. And, obviously, you haven't hung around a fandom long enough to see people debate about canon in quite the depth that I've seen. Good day, sir.

  • I do like you subtle ability to disarm replies ... nice style. Although using the tag "Cortana" kinda spoils it a little - think about it; 1) Cortana would have to be the #1 pick for "Boobies bouncing everywhere" in a recent game, 2) and "debate about canon", um yeah, "bungie, reach, book rewrites" ... wrong company (but guess you eluded to the "wait for the pun" factor with the "Breast Thread Ever" subline) But lets play on ... Back to bouncing boobies ... more the better I say. Let us celebrate the female form, not attempt to bury it some kind of homogeneous form. Imagine if halo had though of the bouncing boobies ... picture the celebration of the hog jump with one or more female warriors at your side ... hell why not just adopt a female character and explore those jumps solo. Celebrate the female form, do not hide it away as if it was a shameful thing.

I, honestly, think you're being a misogynist little troll, or just some guy who's just trying to say, "I don't care, I'd just rather see more tits," but with class. Please, tell me about your experience as a women playing games that "celebrate" the female anatomy. You can celebrate the female body, but there's a time and place for flaunting breasts in the way you're seeking. Landing momentarily airborne vehicles, let alone jumping or running, is actually a little painful with big girls. And, cupcake, I never said that I'm totally down with how Cortana is portrayed. How and why I got my Cortana gamertag has little to do with her appearance. We're not going into the age-old "OMG REACH CANON IS TEH BROKE" debate other than the fact that there is continuity in the Halo universe and plot issues don't equate to other parts of canon. You're mad because I'm asking for reasonable armor, when you want eye candy. Have a nice day. PS: Breast Thread Ever is the breast title ever. Because I'm funny.

  • misogynist ... how have I shown hatred? Can you honestly never looked at a male form in a pure physical manner ... have you never looked at another person and admired (lusted even) for what they represented rather than who they are. As for "little painful with big girls" ... and a bullet or sword beheading is not?? lol ... I honestly think you are missing the impact of the whole environment. I do like cupcake though, does kinda sum me up - sweet on top, morish in the middle ... although have to admit that my cherry has long since been stolen - hope that does not disappoint. btw I am not mad, not a little (although you yourself are sounding a little more angry). Why should I be mad, I expect (not demand) that we will get our "eye candy" ... I doubt that we will get the "bouncing boobies" (as you called them) but equitable celebration of both sexes (without nudity - mmm, maybe). PS: Breast Thread Ever is a simple opportunistic attention grab which blatantly uses the female form to promote its own cause. The "painful with big girls" comment was way funnier, clever even as it called on the reader to visualise.

  • Women probably don't find it very entertaining.

  • Women are also not the major buyers of games. The commercial reality of games is that they are made to appeal to the customers. If the makers of these games went fully factual on us the game would be dead ... picture space flight, set your course for the next planet and sit there waiting whilst the game draws in realistic space travel timeframes ... dont think so. Let look at a female market ... take a chick flick with a male lead sporting a six pack abdomen, who listens and attends to her life wishes. Now lets slap some of your reality into that movie; - an average Joe, slightly flabby and VERY pale, - the guy basically guesses the girls wishes for this month, not a chance on the life wish, - and this Joe spends more time between work and his other male/female friends that he does with her Which version will women find entertaining ... and will your average gamer stay longr than the first 5 minutes?

  • "We make games we want to play." Either Bungie is a fan of misogyny, or that's a lie.

  • Except bungie is staffed by both men and woman, ok not a 50/50 split but still the "WE" (in "we want to play") refers to both. As for misogyny ... agree that most of their lead characters are male, but I dont recall ever seeing that lead acting in a hateful way towards women. Plus lets not forget Konoko, the female lead in Oni. Now she did show more than a little hate towards a few men, and collectively treated men as something to distrust (or bend to her sexual will). As for bungie telling lies ... let anyone tell the lie that they tell no lies. Remember "there will be no DLC locked playlists", or "we did not want ODST priced so high" ... life is not so black and white.

  • Ok, fine, sophomoric immaturity and childish perversions instead of misogyny. Same idea.

  • Vast difference I would think ... you would compare an act of true hatred to a misinformed/immature (childish - same/same) act? However even with your downgraded classification ... we are talking a video game here? And that this game has sought an RP rating ... so not an Adult classification. Are we complaining about a game being "immature and childish" when the very audience it is being directed towards is yet to reach full maturity ?!? mmmm, funny how many companies design a product with a targeted audience in mind ... guess they are all fool.
